Description The issue concerns a problem with the MBIM dissector that could cause it to crash or exhaust system memory. The problem was resolved by changing the memory-allocation approach in the epan/dissectors/packet-mbim.c file.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 2.2.0 through 2.2.9, update to a version that includes the fix for the MBIM dissector issue. For Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.1, update to a version that includes the fix for the MBIM dissector issue.
