Description A denial of service issue in Mediaserver could allow an attacker to use a specially crafted file to cause a device hang or reboot. This issue is related to inadequate access control in the Mediaserver component of the Android operating system, which can be exploited remotely to cause a denial of service, resulting in device hang or reboot.

Recommendations For Android versions 6.0 through 7.1.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
