The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an out-of-bounds read and crash, via a crafted ZIP file. This is due to a problem in the
zzip mem entry new function in memdisk.c.Recommendations
For zziplib version 0.13.62, consider avoiding the use of the
zzip mem entry new function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of crafted ZIP files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
