Description
The issue is related to an exploitable heap overflow in the image conversion engine, specifically due to internal tile manipulation in TIFF files. This could lead to arbitrary code execution if successfully exploited. The vulnerability is caused by a buffer overflow in memory during TIFF file conversions, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For versions 11.0.19 and earlier, update to a version later than 11.0.19 to resolve the issue.
For versions 15.006.30280 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.006.30280 to resolve the issue.
For versions 15.023.20070 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.023.20070 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the image conversion engine for TIFF files until a patch is available. Restrict access to TIFF file processing to minimize the risk of exploitation.
