Description The issue is caused by how Microsoft browsers handle objects in memory, allowing an attacker to gain the same user rights as the current user. This could lead to memory corruption, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user has administrative user rights, the attacker could take control of the affected system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations For Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer in Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, and Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, 1709, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server, version 1709, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
