Description:
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer over-read in the
read creator block function, located in plug-ins/common/file-psp.c. This can potentially allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, compromise data integrity, and confidentiality.Recommendations:
For GIMP version 2.8.22, consider disabling the
read creator block function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the file-psp.c module to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Out of bounds Read
