Description The issue is related to an invalid write of size 8 in the storeSSE function, which could cause the application to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code. This allows a remote attacker to access confidential information or cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For OpenEXR version 2.2.0, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the storeSSE function until a patch is available.
