Description The issue is related to the liblnk data string get utf8 string size function in liblnk data string.c, which allows remote attackers to cause an information disclosure via a crafted lnk file. This is a heap-based buffer over-read issue. The vendor has disputed this issue, as described in libyal/liblnk issue 33 on GitHub.
