The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out of array read) via a crafted AVI file. This is due to a problem in the
decode frame function in libavcodec/utvideodec.c.Recommendations
For FFmpeg versions 3.2 and earlier, consider updating to a version that contains a fix for this issue, as the current version allows for a denial of service attack via a crafted AVI file.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
