Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Oracle Customer Interaction History component, specifically the Outcome-Result subcomponent. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The impact can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, consider restricting access to the Outcome-Result subcomponent until a fix is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive operations to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Restrict access to critical data and ensure that only authorized personnel have update, insert, or delete access to Oracle Customer Interaction History data.
