CVSS v3.1

8.8

Alta

VetorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 72.0.3626.81
Description The issue is related to an incorrect Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation of GLSL shaders in the SwiftShader component of Google Chrome, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page. This is also described as a buffer overflow vulnerability in the SwiftShader component, potentially allowing a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to data.
Recommendations For versions prior to 72.0.3626.81, update to version 72.0.3626.81 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable HTML pages until the update is applied.
