Description The issue is related to the use of an insecure memory allocation function alloca probe 16 in the dfact.dll COM object, specifically in the SetImage method of the BmpImager, GifImager, AviImager, and JpgImager classes. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service in the process using the COM object when handling an image with a file path of excessive length.
