Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Server: Locking component of Oracle MySQL Server, allowing a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the MySQL protocol. Successful attacks can result in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of MySQL Server.
Recommendations For Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.5.59 and prior, update to a version later than 5.5.59 to resolve the issue. For Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.6.39 and prior, update to a version later than 5.6.39 to resolve the issue.
