Description: A denial of service issue exists due to the improper processing of XML documents. This could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service against a .NET application by issuing specially crafted requests.

Recommendations: For Microsoft .NET Framework versions 1.1 through 5.7, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For .NET Core versions 1.0 through 2.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the processing of XML documents in .NET and .NET Core applications until a patch is available.
