Junos OS versions prior to 15.1F5 on vMX Series
Description
The issue is related to the predictability of sequential IP ID in the Junos operating system. This predictability can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform attacks that rely on predictable IP ID sequence numbers. The problem was discovered during internal product security testing.
Recommendations
For Junos OS versions prior to 15.1F5 on vMX Series, update to version 15.1F5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.
