Description A Reflected Cross Site Scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing an attacker to execute HTML or JavaScript code via a vulnerable newMonitor[LinkedMonitors] parameter value in the "view monitor" page, which is accessed through the monitor.php file, because proper filtration is omitted.

Recommendations For ZoneMinder versions prior to 1.32.4, update to version 1.32.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the monitor.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the newMonitor[LinkedMonitors] parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
