Description
The issue allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded, resulting in a partial denial of service. This can be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified component without using untrusted Java Web Start applications or untrusted Java applets, such as through a web service.
Recommendations
For Java SE versions 7u231, 8u221, 11.0.4, 13: Update to a version that contains a fix for this issue.
For Java SE Embedded version 8u221: Update to a version that contains a fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Concurrency component until a patch is available.
Avoid using APIs in the Concurrency component without proper validation and sanitization of input data until the issue is resolved.
