Description
The issue is related to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface, allowing an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This could enable the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive, browser-based information. The attacker must have valid administrator credentials to exploit this issue. The vulnerability can be exploited by injecting malicious code into a troubleshooting file.
Recommendations
For all affected versions, ensure that only authorized personnel with valid administrator credentials have access to the web-based management interface. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the troubleshooting file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
