Description
The issue is related to the
flattenSubquery function in SQLite, which mishandles certain uses of SELECT DISTINCT involving a LEFT JOIN where the right-hand side is a view. This can cause a NULL pointer dereference or incorrect results. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
For SQLite version 3.30.1, consider updating to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue, as the current version is affected by the
flattenSubquery function mishandling certain SELECT DISTINCT queries.
