Description A denial of service flaw was found in the way the server component of Freeciv processed certain packets. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted packet that, when processed, would lead to memory exhaustion or excessive CPU consumption.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.3.4, update to version 2.3.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the server component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
