Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the "wp ajax import widget data" parameter AJAX action due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.5.3, update to a version higher than 1.5.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "wp ajax import widget data" AJAX action until a patch is available. Avoid using the wp ajax import widget data parameter in the affected AJAX endpoint until the issue is resolved.
