Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the epio send autosuggest allowed() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to send allowed parameters for autosuggest to elasticpress[.]io via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For ElasticPress plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.5.3, consider disabling the epio send autosuggest allowed() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
