Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation during the parsing of the System Management Mode (SMM) binary, which may allow a maliciously crafted SMM executable binary to corrupt Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM) user application memory. This could result in a potential denial of service. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow issue when processing a binary file, which could be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
