Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
flowpaper plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.3
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
flipbook shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For flowpaper plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.3, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
flipbook shortcode for users with contributor-level and above permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation.Correção
