Description This issue allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of G Data Total Security. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this issue. The specific flaw exists within the GDBackupSvc service, where an attacker can create a symbolic link to abuse the service and create a file with a permissive DACL, potentially leading to privilege escalation and execution of arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.
