Description The issue is related to a heap buffer overflow in the PDF component of Google Chrome, which could allow a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted PDF file. This can happen if the attacker convinces a user to engage in specific user interactions. The exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted PDF file.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 118.0.5993.70, update to version 118.0.5993.70 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of PDF files from untrusted sources until the update is applied. Restrict access to PDF files in Google Chrome to minimize the risk of exploitation.
