| Vetor | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description
The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. This could lead to the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to conduct an XSS attack.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable form fields until a patch is available. Avoid using vulnerable fields in web pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
