| Vetor | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description
The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. This could lead to the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to conduct an XSS attack.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable form fields to minimize the risk of malicious script injection. Avoid using vulnerable fields in the affected Adobe Experience Manager versions until the issue is resolved.
