Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PowerVR GPU driver versions (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the PMRChangeSparseMemOSMem() function of the PowerVR GPU driver in Android and ChromeOS, which is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in memory. This could allow an attacker to escalate their privileges. The vulnerability is due to an incorrect bounds check, leading to a possible out of bounds write. Exploitation does not require user interaction and could lead to local escalation of privilege in the kernel.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
