Description
The issue is related to errors in authorization within the Field Service Engineer Portal component of Oracle Field Service in Oracle E-Business Suite. This easily exploitable vulnerability allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Field Service, potentially resulting in unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Field Service accessible data, as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Field Service accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Field Service Engineer Portal component until a patch is available. Additionally, restrict network access via HTTP to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
