CVE-2023-53105

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Média

VetorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A null pointer dereference issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the net/mlx5e module. This issue occurs when a module is unloaded while a peer tc flow is still offloaded, causing the neigh encap lock to be destroyed. As a result, when the original non-peer tc flow is deleted, it attempts to take the already destroyed encap lock, leading to a null pointer dereference. The issue is resolved by clearing peer flows during tc eswitch cleanup.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
