Description:
The issue is related to an improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command, which could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. A high-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security mechanisms and execute code. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
Recommendations:
For ColdFusion versions 2025.1, 2023.13, and 2021.19, update to a version that fixes the improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command.
For versions earlier than 2021.19, update to a version that fixes the improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
