CVE-2022-49492

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Média

VetorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the nvme-pci module. The issue arises when the nvme alloc admin tags function fails to set up a queue due to an error, such as -ENOMEM, and returns an error message. However, the error handling mechanism does not properly check for a NULL pointer, leading to a bad pointer dereference when attempting to quiesce a non-existent queue.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
