Red Hat · Red Hat Ceph Storage · CVE-2020-10753
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions**
Red Hat Ceph Storage versions 3.x and 4.x
**Description**
A flaw was found in the Red Hat Ceph Storage RadosGW (Ceph Object Gateway) related to the injection of HTTP headers via a CORS ExposeHeader tag. The newline character in the ExposeHeader tag in the CORS configuration file generates a header injection in the response when the CORS request is made. This issue is also related to the failure to handle CRLF sequences in HTTP headers, which can allow a remote attacker to inject arbitrary HTTP headers, such as Set-Cookie, to set arbitrary cookies.
**Recommendations**
For versions 3.x and 4.x, consider disabling the CORS ExposeHeader tag in the CORS configuration file as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Ceph Object Gateway to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the newline character in the ExposeHeader tag until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
