Phpmyadmin · Phpmyadmin · CVE-2020-26935
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: phpMyAdmin versions prior to 4.9.6 phpMyAdmin versions 5.x prior to 5.0.3 Description: The issue is related to a SQL injection vulnerability in the SearchController of phpMyAdmin. This vulnerability allows an attacker to inject malicious SQL into a query, potentially leading to a denial of service. The vulnerability is caused by the lack of protection against SQL query structure manipulation. An attacker could exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted malicious SQL query. Recommendations: For phpMyAdmin versions prior to 4.9.6, update to version 4.9.6 or later to resolve the issue. For phpMyAdmin versions 5.x prior to 5.0.3, update to version 5.0.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the search feature in phpMyAdmin until a patch is applied.
