Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and local attackers to potentially gain privileges. This is achieved by sending certain messages to the ` RemoteGetClassObject` interface, which causes a NULL pointer to be passed to the `PerformScmStage` function.
Recommendations:
For Windows 2000 SP3 and SP4, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
