Mozilla · Firefox · CVE-2005-1159
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions**
Firefox versions prior to 1.0.3
Mozilla Suite versions prior to 1.7.7
**Description**
The issue is related to the native implementations of certain functions, including InstallTrigger, which do not properly verify the types of objects being accessed. This causes the Javascript interpreter to continue execution at the wrong memory address. As a result, attackers may be able to cause a denial of service, leading to an application crash, and potentially execute arbitrary code by passing objects of the wrong type.
**Recommendations**
For Firefox versions prior to 1.0.3, update to version 1.0.3 or later to resolve the issue.
For Mozilla Suite versions prior to 1.7.7, update to version 1.7.7 or later to resolve the issue.
