WordPress · Colibri Page Builder · CVE-2023-6988
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions**
Colibri Page Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.239
**Description**
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's `extend builder render js` shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
**Recommendations**
For versions up to, and including, 1.0.239, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue in the `extend builder render js` shortcode.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the `extend builder render js` shortcode for users with contributor-level and above permissions until a patch is available.
