D Link · D-Link Dir-815 · CVE-2023-37758
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** D-LINK DIR-815 version 1.01 **Description** A buffer overflow issue was discovered in the /web/captcha.cgi component of the D-LINK DIR-815 router's firmware. This issue can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is related to the `web/captcha.cgi` component, which is susceptible to a stack-based buffer overflow. **Recommendations** For D-LINK DIR-815 version 1.01, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling access to the `/web/captcha.cgi` component until a patch is available. Restrict access to this component to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
