Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: miekg-dns versions prior to 1.0.4 Description: A denial of service flaw allows a remote attacker to block the DNS server from accepting new connections by using carefully timed TCP packets or by opening a connection and leaving it idle. This prevents the server from accepting other connections until the idle connection is closed. Recommendations: For versions prior to 1.0.4, update to version 1.0.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the DNS server to minimize the risk of exploitation.
