**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Firefox versions prior to 52 **Description** A security issue exists where a non-existent chrome.manifest file is attempted to be loaded during startup from the primary installation directory. If a malicious user with local access places chrome.manifest and other referenced files in this directory, they will be loaded and activated during startup. This could result in malicious software being added without consent or modification of referenced installed files. **Recommendations** For versions prior to 52, update to version 52 or later to resolve the issue.
