**Description**
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a custom profile field to "index.php" when registering a new user.
**Recommendations**
For FUDforum versions 3.0.4.1 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to custom profile fields in the registration process until a fix is available. Avoid using custom profile fields in the affected "index.php" endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
