Oracle · Oracle Applications Framework · CVE-2022-21477
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Oracle Applications Framework versions 12.2.6 through 12.2.11 **Description** The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the Attachments, File Upload component of the Oracle Applications Framework. This allows a remote attacker to gain read access to data or modify data using specially crafted HTTP requests. Successful attacks require human interaction and may significantly impact additional products. The vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data. **Recommendations** For versions 12.2.6 through 12.2.11, consider disabling the Attachments, File Upload component until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the vulnerable component to minimize the risk of unauthorized data access or modification. Avoid using the vulnerable component for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
