Lycos · Htmlgear · CVE-2006-2808
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Lycos Tripod htmlGEAR guestGEAR (affected versions not specified) **Description** A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a guestbook post. This is achieved by including a javascript URI in the SRC attribute of the BR element, after adding an extra "iframe" tagname within that element, followed by a double ">", which might bypass cleansing operations. **Recommendations** At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
