Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
QuakeWorld version 2.10
Description
A buffer overflow issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, potentially leading to a crash, and may also enable the execution of arbitrary commands. This is achieved by sending a long initial connect packet.
Recommendations
For QuakeWorld version 2.10, consider applying a patch or fix to address the buffer overflow issue, if available, to prevent potential denial of service and arbitrary command execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
