Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tetrix TetriNet daemon version 1.13.16
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the TetriNet daemon, which can be exploited by remote attackers. By connecting to port 31457 from a host with a long DNS hostname, attackers can cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary commands.
Recommendations
For Tetrix TetriNet daemon version 1.13.16, consider restricting access to port 31457 as a temporary workaround to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
