Description
The issue allows remote attackers to use the Quake 1 server as an amplifier in a "Smurf" style attack on another host. This is achieved by spoofing an initial UDP game connection request, which the server responds to with a large amount of traffic.

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
