| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Windows 95
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files when Remote Administration and File Sharing for NetWare Networks is enabled. This occurs because a share (C$) is created when an administrator logs in remotely, enabling the mapping of the network drive.
Recommendations
For Windows 95, consider disabling Remote Administration and File Sharing for NetWare Networks to prevent the creation of the vulnerable share. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the C$ share to minimize the risk of exploitation.
