Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by spoofing ICMP redirect messages from a router, which causes Windows to change its routing tables.
Recommendations:
For Windows 95, 98, and NT 4.0, consider restricting access to the network to minimize the risk of exploitation.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ability to accept ICMP redirect messages until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
