Description
The issue is related to suidperl not properly cleansing the escape sequence "~!" before calling /bin/mail to send an error report. This allows local users to gain privileges by setting the
interactive environmental variable and calling suidperl with a filename that contains the escape sequence.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
